A certain amount of water is held by the soil pores, the remaining water is drawn downward through the soil to the depth of the planter and the soil is filled with water. Root Warrior allows excessive water to flow out and away from the roots. Self-watering pots and Grow Bags benefit as the aeration chamber continues to channel oxygen from the bottom of the pot to the roots, preventing waterlogged soil.

Simply place inside over the drainage hole, add soil a few inches above the Root Warrior and water as normal. In hot, dryer climates water more frequently with no concerns of overwatering. Drainage Hole is recommended for pots and containers but Root Warrior will channel oxygen available if no drainage hole is present.
